This Year's Produce Plan

This Year's Produce Plan

Sunday, March 9, 2025

We're busy planning and planting around here at TPS Farms at the moment.

It may be cold and dreary outside right now, but any farmer that works high tunnels, green houses, or that transplants crops can tell you the 8-ish weeks before the last freeze for the winter (end of March for TPS Farms) is a whole other level of crazy busy. We've got layers of spreadsheets, calendars, planting supplies, and general madness scattered around as we finalize plans for the first half of the season and get a good, near-final draft of plans together for the second half.

Growing and producing in central Arkansas, TPS Farms has a wonderful abundance of growing days (230+ days above freezing). Combined with the crops we love that don't mind a few freezes, this means we have a lot of crops we can plant, one after the other, in our growing areas provided we plan well. To that end, I've finally made some decisions and put together our produce list for 2025.

Head on over to our Products page to see what we're up to this year!

Picture of a sunflower with an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterfly resting on it with a forest in the background. The sunflower has many rich golden yellow petals surrounding a dark brown and black center. The black butterfly with blue, white, and orange markings rests on the lower edge of the flower; the full breadth of the butterfly's wings is more than 1.5 times the width of the sunflower bloom. A few more sunflowers and the many trees of a forest are out of focus behind the butterfly and main sunflower.

As always, if you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

Happy growing!
